Our first Kids Sailing Camp of the summer is over and we were blessed with good weather the whole week!
Our Kids Sailing Camps are a great opportunity to get your kids outside, on the water, learning a skill that will keep them coming back for more. Some summer camps offer activities like games, arts & crafts, and movies. These are definitely fun, but when they are over, they are over. With sailing your child will be learning a skill that will last their entire life! Just think, they may teach their grand kids to sail some day! Now that’s money well spent!
Camp includes sessions on the water and in the classroom. Not only will your child be learning a FUN life long skill, but they will be learning life skills as well! Concepts that are taught include, but not limited to:
- Components of a Sailboat
- Rigging a Boat
- Basic Sailing Techniques
- Sailing Safety
- Knot Tying
- Wind Power for Transportation
- Weather/Wind Pattern Changes
- Critical Thinking Skills
- Friendship and Teamwork
